The Commission Process

HOW DO I GO ABOUT COLLABORATING WITH AN ARTIST TO GET A COMMISSIONED ARTWORK?

Firstly Congrats! Deciding that you really want a special piece of original art is the first step. The benefit of getting a piece of art commissioned is that you will be assured that you will get exactly what you were after, in the perfect size. And trust me its an easy process!

Firstly I need a few things from you so you complete a commission enquiry form so that I can match you with the artist best suited to your commission and provide the information to the artist. You will be contacted within 7 days to further discuss the project and be given a personalised quote. All artworks are quoted individually as pricing can depend on a number of factors including artist, timeframe e, framing, material and size. All commission pricing is inclusive of shipping (including tacking and insurance).

We will let you know when your artwork is started and in some cases you can have sneak peeks along the way as all of our artists work closely with you to ensure the artwork is exactly right! When it is finished you will receive a final invoice and upon payment the artwork will be varnished and shipped or delivered. All artworks will come with a certificate of authenticity and will be ready to hang.

***Now artists have different methods for collaborating, Maggie Deall for example will draw up electronic designs so you can see exactly what will be painted before a brush even touches the canvas. Other artists may work differently but this will be discussed before your commission is ordered.
