The canola fields of the Riverina change colour and intensity with every reflection from our Australian sky. When there is a storm breaking the fields are a vibrant yellow and green that jumps from the landscape. This is my home. This piece is heavily textured and a vibrant statement piece.
I have been obsessed by the canola fields since living in southern Australia – they seem the go for miles in a sea of yellow and green. Oil paint seemed the best way to express the depth of the colours that I see in my mind and around me.
